Language certification plays a key role in Greece, shaping access to education, employment and public-sector opportunities. But how can we be sure that language qualifications are fair, reliable and truly reflect a candidate’s ability?

ALTE is organising a stakeholder event in Athens on Thursday 1 October 2026, hosted at the Goethe-Institut building (Omirou 14-16, Athina 100 33, Greece), to explore how trust in language assessment can be strengthened—focusing in particular on the role of independent quality assurance such as the ALTE Q-Mark.

This stakeholder event will take place from 10:00 to 12:30 (local time) and is free of charge and open to professionals working in the field of language testing. The event is in-person only.

Please note that the afternoon part of the programme is by invitation only and is not open for public registration.
