ALTE Associate Membership PLUS programme – General Information

The ALTE Associate Membership PLUS Programme is a new feature at ALTE aimed at ALTE Associate Members.
It’s not a new membership type, but a form of recognition which provides an opportunity for Associate Members to increase the quality and professional capability of the organisation and their tests.

ALTE Associate Membership PLUS Programme is aimed at those organisations who do not yet feel ready to apply for a Q-Mark audit but need to improve the quality of their tests before starting to think about an audit.
ALTE Associate Membership PLUS Programme is also aimed at those organisations whose tests are not eligible for
ALTE Q-Mark, i.e. they do not test the language of the country they are registered in, but want to enhance the quality of their tests in collaboration with ALTE.

The ALTE Associate Membership PLUS Programme also provides a great opportunity for those organisations to be rewarded for their efforts and engagement.
ALTE Associate Membership PLUS Programme recognition will be given to those organisations that fulfil all the criteria (more on the criteria can be found below).

Courses and consultancies need to be budgeted for, but the Associate Membership PLUS Programme recognition will be given for free once all activities are completed. A form to track the completed activities will be shared with the organisation, and once all the agreed activities have been completed, the ALTE Associate Membership PLUS Programme recognition will be granted.

ALTE Membership PLUS Programme recognition is given to an organisation for a period of 5 years. After that time, the organisation needs to complete at least one ALTE course and/or consultancy within 6 months before the expiry date. By doing so, the organisation keeps the ALTE Membership PLUS Programme recognition for another 1 year.
If the organisation applies for an audit and receives the ALTE Q-Mark for one or more of their tests, the ALTE Associate Membership PLUS Programme recognition ceases to exist for them, as they are no longer ALTE Associate Members.
