MLTDE Revision Working Group |
Chair:Beate Zeidler Open to:ALTE Members who can contribute to the update of this manual from a didactical and/or technological point of view. | Next Meeting:Thursday 7th November 2024 İstanbul, Türkiye For more information, please see the events page. | Members are currently working on:updating the Manual for Language Test Development and Examining. |
Our Focus:The Manual for Language Test Development and Examining was first published in 2011. Like its predecessor, the ALTE Users‘ Guide for examiners (1996), it was commissioned by the Council of Europe to form part of the toolkit around the CEFR. It provides an introduction into all matters that need to be considered when engaged in testing. A need for revision comes up when there are important developments in the field, such as the publication of the Companion Volume to the Common European Framework, and technological progress that is changing and challenging traditional ways of testing. Apart from updating references, we shall try to identify, describe and include the core features of these current developments into the document. | You can see the current version of the Manual for Language Test Development and Examining on our Resources page. |
