The next ALTE 52nd Conference Day will be hosted by Cursos Internacionales of the Universidad de Salamanca, Spain and will take place on Friday 23rd November 2018. The theme of this conference day is The Roles of Test Takers and Users in Striving for Fairness.
Featured plenary speakers of this conference day will be Professor Jesús Fernández (Universidad de Salamanca), Marios Molfetas and Roger Johnson (PeopleCert), Dr Juan Miguel Prieto (Universidad de Salamanca), Professor Lia Plakans (University of Iowa), Professor Gordon Stobart (University College London), and Dr. Kamran Khan (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya).
In the afternoon there will also be parallel workshops:
- Dr Marta Seseña, Marian Villoria, Rosario Domínguez (Universidad de Salamanca) ‘La creación de tareas para pruebas de dominio’ (in Spanish);
- Dr Marta García, Dr Miriam Borham (Universidad de Salamanca) ‘Supervision and security: good practices to guarantee the success of exams’;
- Florian Nimmrichter (ÖSD, Austria) ‘Striving for fairness: The challenge of meeting special needs and requirements and the minimum standard no. 10’
The Conference day is open to all those with an interest in language testing.
